Garden 1 Lund day 14

A big day today - 4 gardens in and near Lund - and I'm going to run out of superlatives.

First was a family garden with young children and young enthusiastic gardeners though I noticed it was mother-in-law who arranged the morning tea. It's a large property with 2 houses, a garage and summerhouse connected by an extensive manicured garden /photos 1,2,3. There are roses, yew hedges (box hedges disappeared in the box blight of 2011), currant bushes and, to David's delight, a weeping mulberry with ripe fruit. I counted 8 different garden settings so we all had somewhere to sit for morning tea.

What a morning tea! Served with such style from the summerhouse and all homemade (by m-in-l I suspect) there were 2 cheeses served with crispbread, stuffed eggs, bun scrolls and a special meringue tower cake that takes 7 hours to make. /Photo 4.
